Interview with G R I E V E R S

Hi! Tell me about your band and what kind of previous experience do you have as musicians?
G R I E V E R S: The Grievers were formed in 2008 and all the musicians who played in the project already had previous experiences with other bands… the important thing is the Grievers not who and what they did.

Why did you pick your band name? How did you form? Why did you decide to play the genre or genres you do?
G R I E V E R S: the name of the band as explained in other interviews was born in a perimeter of intense abuse of the play station we know it seems ridiculous for a metal band but the truth is this! We trained with the help of friends and word of mouth with other musicians in Milan and the choice is really easy, do you like making music? Play what you love!

What can you tell us about your latest record?
G R I E V E R S: The Eternal Pleasure Of Revenge is a mini concept album focused on REVENGE, is divided into 4 chapters and has no connection with the first album Reflecting Evil. We advise you to listen to him www.grievers.net

What the kind of album feedbacks are you waiting for?.
G R I E V E R S: First of all we always hope that the music we make like and come, here first we always ask the friends feedback just to see if we have worked well!

Are you gonna to make some world tour in the future? Do you think this is available for everybody option to tour around the globe? What do you think band have to do to get such opportunity?
G R I E V E R S: wow … extreme world tour! hahahahaha would be nice yes, but we do not believe it, certainly we will return to play outside Italy in Europe.

Do you believe in heavy music scene without money?
G R I E V E R S: There is never done to play and we will never do it, if you like it the world is full of bands!

What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
G R I E V E R S: Well it definitely helps to have more visibility that is very important for bands like us, by the way you can find us on SPOTIFY, BANDCAMP, AMAZON, DEEZER, ITUNES heheheheheh.
Give your music for free we find it ridiculous, but sometimes it can be positive, you wonder if we did it? Of course at the beginning.

Who are your musical influences? Have you ever think your band could be so famous as your favorites?
G R I E V E R S: Musical influences let’s start from the beginnings of melodic death metal InFlames, Archenemy, Children Of Bodom and Dark Tranquility to end with After The Burial, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, Devil Driver, Allegaeon, The Black Dahlia Murder, Born Of Osiris, Persefone and more.
Surely born in a country that appreciates the kind that sounds really makes the difference, the people, the guys are the first answer to your work and we believe that this determines the roots of a band!

Do you have a formal music education? Do you think it’s a Kind of important thing?
G R I E V E R S: We think that making music is a bit like cooking, knowing how to choose the right ingredients and at the end a bit of imagination, we do not believe that formal education or not can affect so much, when listening to music we hear the thoughts and tastes of other people!

How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, job?
G R I E V E R S: Is the right compromise if you love making music you find the time to do it!

How do you handle mistakes during a performance? Or you can assure there are no any mistakes during your gigs? Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?
G R I E V E R S: Then we live the live performance from PC with in-ear headphones to Valentino on the drums, we have our material that we always prepare for each live. The choice of playing in this way makes us fast in the sound check and above all assure the drummer a 100% listening in every live situation.
Making sure not to make mistakes is impossible, wrong the great gods of metal we can be wrong too the important thing is to know how to always manage each situation to the fullest.

What’s next? Thank you!
G R I E V E R S: Well, thank you for the space dedicated to us, listen to our albums and www.grievers.net here you find everything about the G R I E V E R S.
