John Petrucci says that there are “no plans” for DREAM THEATER to reunite with drummer Mike Portnoy for a show or a tour. Portnoy, who co-founded DREAM THEATER more than thirty years ago, abruptly quit the band in September 2010 while on tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD. He has since been replaced by Mike Mangini (ANNIHILATOR, EXTREME, JAMES LABRIE, STEVE VAI). Portnoy later revealed that he tried to rejoin DREAM THEATER, only to be rebuffed. The team behind Montebello Rockfest, the largest rock festival in Canada, has unveiled the complete lineup for the twelfth edition, to be held June 22-25 in Montebello, Quebec, Canada. Rockfest features a mature lineup that consists of 125 rock, metal, punk rock, hardcore, and hip-hop acts. Most of them will make their first appearance at the festival. METALLICA: Time Lapse Video Of Stage Setup For Copenhagen Shows

METALLICA has uploaded a time lapse video of the stage setup for its shows in Copenhagen, Denmark. Check it out below. The band played its third concert in Copenhagen on February 9 as part of what was initially supposed to be the final of a four-night stand at that city’s Royal Arena. The first show was cut short on February 3 when frontman James Hetfield took ill. Hetfield was put on complete vocal rest the next day, forcing the band to postpone the second show on February 5. Reactivated PESTILENCE To Release 'Hadeon' Album

Veteran Dutch extreme metallers PESTILENCE have set “Hadeon” as the title of their new album, due later in the year. Joining vocalist/guitarist Patrick Mameli in the band’s current lineup are Santiago Dobles (AGHORA) on lead guitar, Alan Goldstein on bass and Septimiu Hărşan (DISAVOWED) on drums.
