OZZY OSBOURNE Purchases Truck Full Of Ice To Keep Cool During Heatwave

Ozzy Osbourne had a truck full of ice dropped into his swimming pool during last week’s heatwave in Southern California. According to his wife Sharon, the legendary BLACK SABBATH singer had a “brilliant idea” to order blocks of ice to throw in the family’s backyard pool so he could enjoy a refreshing dip after Los Angeles was hit by scorching temperatures a few days ago. However, the plan apparently backfired, with Sharon posting an Instagram photo of the ice melting in the pool and captioning it: “Ozzy‘s brilliant idea to cool the pool during last week’s heatwave. 3000 lbs of … Continue reading

Asked about the progress of the songwriting sessions for NIGHTWISH‘s follow-up to 2015’s “Endless Forms Most Beautiful” record, Tuomas said: “The next album is well on its way. Album Stream & Interview: Mutilation Rites – “Chasm”

The Brooklyn black metal scene is exploding right now, but few bands are on the same level as Mutilation Rites. Chasm, their third album and first since 2014’s Harbinger, is refreshing, destructive and the best work in the band’s discography thus far. The biggest change in Mutilation Rites is the addition of new drummer Emmett Ceglia, who replaces former skinsman Tyler Coburn. “Tyler was a very integral part of our songwriting process on Chasm and also our little road buddy,” the band told Decibel. “He immediately became best friends with all of us when he joined, and we spent many great moments together. Once Tyler chose to … Continue reading

Singer Phil Labonte told the Rock 94.7 radio station at last weekend’s Rock USA festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin (see video below): “We have another record that we are just about finished writing. We’ve got a bunch of stuff already written; we’ve … Continue reading

CRAIG GOLDY Says VIVIAN CAMPBELL's LAST IN LINE Is 'Nowhere Near' First Three DIO Albums

Former DIO and current DIO DISCIPLES guitarist Craig Goldy says that Vivian Campbell‘s LAST IN LINE project is “nowhere near” the first DIO three albums in terms of quality, despite the fact that it was formed by three original members of the DIO band. Campbell, drummer Vinny Appice, bassist Jimmy Bain and Ronnie James Dio worked together on the first three DIO albums — 1983’s “Holy Diver”, 1984’s “The Last in Line” and 1985’s “Sacred Heart” — before Irishman Campbell left to join WHITESNAKE in 1987. Vivian later publicly took issue with Ronnie‘s need for total control of the band, … Continue reading
