The band have been support act to bands like FATE, THE POODLES, MIKE TRAMP, PAIN OF SALVATION, NOCTURNAL RITES and SOUL SIGN (Yngwie-members).
Even gigs as backing band, at different times, for KEE MARCELLO (EUROPE) and JAN JOHANSEN (IGNITION, Swedish Eurovision song contest winner) and JAKOB SAMUEL (THE POODLES) has been done.
What can you tell us about your latest record?
The brand new album ”A light in the dark” contains 10 songs in the melodic hard rock/metal vein.
The trademark sound of Black Rose, built on recognizable distinctive riffs, melodic/catchy and powerful choruses, are even more prominent on this release.
The album covers a wide range of songs, from fast, hard driving songs to mid-paced and heavier songs.
What the kind of album feedbacks are you waiting for?
We’re of course waiting for and are receiveing lots of good reviews and doing many interviews.
What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
The music business has always continued to change, for better or worse, since the beginning.
It’s hard to say whether this development will harm or benefit the artists in the long run.
It has changed from the record being the main product of a musical act, to the live shows and merchandise rising in importance.
You used to play live shows to promote the record, now the record itself is an important part of the promotion package in addition to it being a product.
The main benefit of the changes in availability of music is the potential to reach out to more people, and the main challenge for the artist or record companies is to be able to monetize on it.
We only give away our music for free in promotional purposes.
Who are your musical influences? Have you ever think your band could be so famous as your favorites?
The band as individuals have ALOT of different influences from both band and different generes.
Of course it would be great to recieve that kind of success but that’s not our main focus at all.
We’ll keep on doing what we love and like regardless.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, job?
It’s all about good planning, simple as that.
How do you handle mistakes during a performance? Or you can assure there are no any mistakes during your gigs? Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?
We never make mistakes… LOL..
No, we never get nervous but we’re always getting our adrenaline pumping before the gig.
We’ve just released a new video for the song “Hear the call” produced by director/bass player Mats Vassfjord
(220 volt, Grand Design, Impera etc.).
We’re receiving offers to do shows and touring options as we speak.
