MGK pays MASSIVE fine for playing past concert curfew

It seems Machine Gun Kelly is willing to pay whatever price necessary to give fans a concert he feels they deserve—even if that fine is an astounding $10,000.

Last night, MGK played the infamous Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Colorado. It’s considered one of the greatest entertainment venues in the world that sits at an impressive altitude of 6,450 ft and holds a mind-blowing capacity of 9,525.

While the ampitheatre is quite the sight to see, it does have a few weird and strict rules.

For example, you’re allowed to bring fruit and vegetables into the venue but it MUST be sliced, and there’s actually a rule about not disrupting your neighbors by singing too loud.

Oh, and glitter/confetti or anything you can throw are a big N-O (sorry twenty on pilots).

Perhaps one of the biggest rules is the concert curfew. According to AVIXA, concerts are Red Rocks are under a very strict noise restriction after a certain time.

“The issue came to a head in 2013, when residents voiced their concerns at town meetings, focusing on the increased volume of bass sound being emitted during EDM shows, as that genre grew in popularity during the decade. The venue enacted new rules, setting a limit of 105 dBA after midnight on weekdays and an hour later on weekends. Exceeding those limits could result in fines of up to $10,000 per occurrence.”

And that’s exactly what happened to MGK.

Fans praised the performance while Fronz called him a “real one” for letting the show continue.
