Cattle Decapitation Release Shirt Commemorating Being Plagiarized by a Rapper

Let it never be said that Cattle Decapitation lack a sense of humor!

A rapper named Teddy YG (the “YG” stands for “Young Gansta”) recently stole the cover art for Cattle Decap’s new album, Death Atlas, for his own mixtape, World on My Shoulders. Just took it outright. Didn’t even bother to remove the band’s logo or nuthin’.

And while Cattle Decapitation would have every right to get pissy about this blatant theft, they are, instead, choosing to have a laugh about (and maybe profit a little from) it: the band is “immortalizing this brazen attempt at notoriety with this one-time-only T-Shirt [above] available for the next 24 hrs ONLY!” You can get yours here.

As for Teddy YG, well, he is continuing to maintain that “y’all still owe me.” I think they can probably just call it even, though, right?

Cattle Decap’s new album, Death Atlas, comes out November 29 (Black Friday!) on Metal Blade. Pre-order it here! The band launches a North American headline tour a week prior. Get dates and tickets here!!

Thanks: Jade S.
