Interview with Vst

Hi! Tell me about your band and what kind of previous experience do you have as musicians?
The band started from the ashes of Egmont, Mephisto’s past band and Sorgens where Aeon, Sorath and Adesthor used to play. We joined forces to play some devastating death black metal with huge influeces of dimmu borgir, behemoth, dark funeral and so.
Why did you pick your band name? How did you form? Why did you decide to play the genre or genres you do?
Vst is the perfect name for this ritual, it’s formed by the initials of a Sumerian phrase that means: Blood thirsty warriors, and that’s what we are. We started as a jam to play some old black metal but our influences made the perfect connection to do this death black metal combination.
What can you tell us about your latest record?
Its a huge evolution from the first album, we included more orchestral passages and a little bit more of structure to the songs. We wanted to have an album that could like everyone possible so the message would spread fast. We used more the clean vocals on this album as a way to fully maintain the darkness and atmosphere we wanted.
What the kind of album feedbacks are you waiting for?
We just want to let the music speak for itself.
Are you gonna to make some world tour in the future? Do you think this is available for everybody option to tour around the globe? What do you think band have to do to get such opportunity?
Hopefully yes, we want to tour all over the world. Its always an option to spread the message all over the world and we are very confident we will do it in the near future.
Do you believe in heavy music scene without money?
Yes, we are kind of that world
What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Well, you can listen to our music on spotify and youtube wich is kind of “free”. We are not doing this to be rich, we are doing this because we love music and we love spreading our message.
Who are your musical influences? Have you ever think your band could be so famous as your favorites?
Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, Belphegor. Hopefully yes.
Do you have a formal music education? Do you think it’s a Kind of important thing?
Only Mephisto and Kerenor have musical education. Its important if you want to expand whatever talent you have. We are not a band that shows off their talent or their abilities so we are not really worried about that.
How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, job?
Its hard but we are doing it.
How do you handle mistakes during a performance? Or you can assure there are no any mistakes during your gigs? Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?
We try to rehearse all the time possible before a show so we don´t have mistakes, when we have a mistake we are so greatly connected that we know what to do just be looking at our eyes.
What’s next? Thank you!
The next step is promotion all over the world and letting know all the people that your support is really important. Spread the word and tell everyone about us. Feel the Vst and Hail Satan
